Home extensions & dormer additions

More space without moving. As roofers and general contractors, we tie every new roofline into your existing home the right way.

Extensions & Dormers

Add space that looks like it was always there

Extensions and dormers change your home’s structure and roofline, which is exactly where most additions go wrong. Our roofing background means the new roof ties into the old one cleanly and stays watertight.

We handle framing, roofing, windows, siding, insulation and interior finishes, and we manage permits and inspections with your town or village.

FAQ

Extensions & Dormers questions

Have a question that isn't answered here? Call us at 516-550-0670.

Do I need an architect for an addition?

Most extensions and dormers require stamped drawings for the permit. We can work with your architect or recommend one we trust.

How long does a dormer addition take?

A typical dormer takes three to six weeks of construction once permits are approved. Full extensions and second stories take longer.

Will my home be exposed to weather during construction?

We plan the work so openings in the roof are dried in quickly, usually within the same day, and protected with tarps and underlayment.
